She reappears in Chapter 9, trying to stop Madeline from chasing the Bird, believing it is pointless. Madeline disagrees and searches without Badeline's help. As such, Madeline's second dash becomes limited. Later, Badeline lends Madeline a helping hand via a Badeline Orb, tries to persuade Madeline again, but fails. She then tries a third time to stop Madeline from her pointless searches, and she finally agrees, on the condition that they free the bird, which is trapped by lightning (electricity), before waking up.}}
