A seeker enemy

In Celeste, Seekers are hostile monsters that fly towards Madeline on sight, attacking her. They can only be found in Mirror Temple and its subsequent B-sides. Seekers behave like snowballs; it kills on contact, but Madeline can jump on the seeker to disable it temporarily, regaining a dash and receiving some vertical speed. When a seeker reactivates, it produces a ring of momentum around it, which can be used to gain speed or traverse long distances. A seeker can destroy special red blocks on collision, and this may sometimes be needed to complete a screen or acquire a collectible. Seekers can be permanently killed only by crushing them, and doing so invokes a death animation similar to Madeline's or Theo's but with pink particles. They cannot pass through barriers and will never attack Madeline if she is standing in or at the other side of a barrier; however, they can still kill Madeline on contact.

Seekers can activate touch switches. This is sometimes required to complete a screen or to get a collectible.
