Pufferfish are entities introduced and exclusively used in Farewell. They can be used similarly to a cloud, allowing the player to gain height. They also serve a secondary purpose: when the player gets close to them, the fish expands and dots appear around the bottom half of the fish. Touching them will cause the fish to explode and send the player flying in the opposite direction from where the dots were crossed. Then, the fish turns into a yellow dot and respawns from it at the fish's initial position.

Pufferfish bounce off springs, which allows for unusual puzzles. Additionally, their explosions activate Touch switches nearby.
