Golden Strawberries are meant to be some of the most difficult challenges in ''Celeste''. The only differences that appear within ''Celeste'' upon the collection of a golden strawberry are aesthetic ones, most notably the level select gaining a golden tint (for the specific side). Obtaining 202 strawberries will give the entire save file (in the save select) a gold-tinted background.
Each level here on the ''Celeste Wiki'' will have a guide with strategies on collecting Golden Strawberries. However, doing as such usually does not suffice; speedrun [[tech]], such as [[hyperdashes]] and [[wavedashes]], are often strongly recommended. Generally speaking, most people collect C-Side Golden Strawberries first, owing to their short length, before collecting A-Side ones. B-Sides are generally the hardest, because they share both length and difficulty. Farewell, being significantly longer and than any of the other levels, is usually the last to be obtained; there's a reason why people call having 201 berries "stuck in [[purgatory]]".
Unlike practicing for [[speedruns]], obtaining a Golden Strawberry is all about '''consistency''', and being able to make it across a large number of rooms without dying once.
