Badeline appears in chapters 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 as three gameplay mechanics: [[Badeline Chasers]], which follow Madeline's movements and kill her on contact, [[Badeline boss|Badeline bosses]], which shoot Madeline with several patterns of projectiles and lasers and flee when touched by Madeline, and [[Badeline orbs]], which boost Madeline up by a good amount or to the next screen.
