Taking a previous jelly into the Power Source hub removes the need to take the roundabout route, by having to collect the pink crystal in order to hit the power box. Instead of that, you can do a [[Vators|jellyvator]] through the tight gap into the small hole with the box in it. This speeds up the process of removing the electricity, however it's only a part of the speedrun strategy. Dying means having to take a slower route to unlock another jellyfish.
