Usage
Bunnyhops are frequently used in combination with other maneuvers, such as hyperdashes, in order to gain additional speed and height. They are also used by speedrunners during the Prologue, since repeatedly performing bunnyhops saves small amounts of time. Bunnyhopping also becomes very handy in Core, where the dashes are limited, and constant jumping allows the player to maintain momentum for a longer time.

Combinations
Hyper bunnyhop
A combination of a Hyperdash followed by a bunnyhop. It allows the player to easily gain momentum to perform larger jumps. The smaller the Hyperdash, the quicker Madeline can jump with the Hyperdash momentum.

Chained Ultras
In order to successfully chain Ultradashes, the player has to jump from the floor as soon as possible. Bunnyhopping allows the player to keep as much from the speed boosts as possible, however buffering the jump has a risk of interily killing the player's momentum.

Block boost bunnyhops
It's possible to perform a bunnyhop after getting momentum from any sort of moving block. In certain situations, if a player lands on a block and jumps within 10 frames while still being pushed, they can perform a "double block boost" which can make a bunnyhop go even further.
